This time we will take you to Jericoacoara, is a small fishing village windsurf and kitesurf Meccain Ceará, Brazil, around 300 km west of Fortaleza. Jeri, as it isaffectionately known, is the kind of idyllic place where many travelers end updeciding to stay for longer than they had originally planned.

Jericoacoara is a place removed from the hurried modern world of screeching sirens, maniac deadlines, traffic jams and endlesslineups. A place where streets are paved with sand, where beaches stretch as faras the eye can see and where warm water marries with palm swaying breezes.Until about 20 years ago, Jericoacoara was still a secluded and simple fishingvillage. There were no roads, no electricity, no phones, no Electricity arrivedin the village and today, hot showers and air conditioning are no longer luxuryarticles. However, local law forbids illumination of the streets

We will take you to the main center in Jeri wich islocated on the eastern point of a longcarving bay. This means that all sailing takes place inside a bay, which thencreates a natural safety area.

There are 3 main spots in Jericoacoara

THE POINT

Just in front of the club you will find the smoothestwaves in north of Brazil. This is the main sailing area, where most of our clientschoose to surf. On the inside the waves gently turns into flat water. Thatmeans that you can jump on the way out, do a tack, surf a wave on the way inand end the ride with a freestyle attempt on the super flat inside.


SUNSET DUNE

This large sailing area offers the best freeridesailing in the Jericoacoara bay. An endlessly big flat-water area, whichsometimes can contribute with some nice, and gently shorebreaks.

MALHADA

For the more advance sailor. This side-on beachon the other side of town (upwind of "The Point") offers the beststarboard jumping ramps around. But it is a place for sailors with confidant asthere is a lot of rocks and a long walk back if something goes wrong.

REGARDING WAVES:

Waves differ in size depending on tide, swell and timeof year.  During high tide is when you have the biggest waves ranging insize from waist to shoulder to head high.  The waves in Jericoacoara andthe whole northern coast of Brazil becomes bigger later in the season, withpeaking size at Christmas. With a soft sandy bottom, these are friendly, gentlewaves that are perfect for learning to ride, to practice your jumps, tabletops,forwards, back loops or whatever move you feel like going for

Don’t get scared about waves if you are not veryexperience, is the easiest place to learn how to ride them, also if you sail abit downwind there are no many ways. We also have the lagoon which you need totake a Boogie to get there but is worth to do the trip

THE CENTER AND THE EQUIPMENT

The center is located on the beachfront  loaded with the latest gear from Starboard & JP boardsand Neilpryde rigs. The Gold range of equipment is hand picked from thebest shapes around: There is also Pro Range, for those who want to taketheir windsurfing experience to the next level. The Pro pool gives youaccess to Pro Edition boards and rigs with RDM masts and Hybrid carbon booms! Whatever your choice; your enjoyment is limitless as we ensure theequipment is well maintained and staff are on hand to help find the best kit solutionfor your needs!

The accommodation will be hosted in a cosy posadacalled Samba Do Kite. Located in one of the most interesting places of Jeri,ideal to enjoy your holyday in complete relaxation. Practically on the beach atthe foot of the famous Dune, just 80 meters from the main street. Very comfortableroom, quiet atmosphere, air/co, hot water.

Normally we organize dinner to go with the whole groupand delight ourselves with some local fish or brazilian meat! Ending the nightwith some kiwiroska= kiwi + vodka in the street bars.

Note: our plan is 100% no pressure. It’s your holydaysand we work to make it pleasurable

Beside our windsurf and relax day, there are also manythings to do in Jeri. You can go horse riding at the beach  and the mountain, go sandboarding inthe dune, boogie ride to the lagoons around, visit other village town or justrelax with a cocktai at the beach!
